“Chopper”

The “Chopper” is a cool custom stage guitar with a lightweight alder body and a maple neck.  She weighs in at just under 7 lbs, which makes it real easy on the shoulder.  The body finish is silver metallic with marbleized edges and a custom silver, white, and green pearl pickguard.

She’s loaded with active circuits; Tone pot #1 is an EQ Expander circuit board (*see details below).  Tone pot #2 is a four-stage Tone Expander circuit board.  The bridge pickup has its own on/off mini switch that allows you to turn it on with the neck pickup, or add it with the neck/middle pickups giving you all 3 pickups on.  The Volume control is a push/pull pot that allows you to change the phase of the pickup.  Custom circuitry is by “Toto”.  This axe has a nice smooth feel and very versatile sound options.

-         The EQ EXPANDER circuit board is a combined equalizer circuit on a Push/Pull pot that has three unique functions in one unit. First is the frequency expander, second is a mid-band peak control and third is a flat booster.
Features include:
-Knob at 0; leads your pickup to sound weightier and rich by boosting the gain in a mid-range and reduce the low and high frequency range
-Knob at 5; leads your pickup to give the harmonics a boost. It is similar to ordinary flat booster.
-Knob at 10; gives your pickup crystal-clear and vivid tone by expanding the frequency range. It has a powerful bass and treble by boosting the high and low frequency range while mid range is 'V' shaped.  Just push the knob down to bypass the EXPANDER circuit.

-      The TONE EXPANDER circuit board is a circuit that maintains your gain (no loss of      level when switching) and provides 4 very different frequency filters for some tremendous tones that a regular tone pot could only dream about.
