You’re going to want to be sure to have your amp at a reasonably low volume when you first plug this axe in so that you don’t potentially blow your speaker coils!  The electronics in this guitar are that aggressive!  The EMG 89 (bridge)& EMG 60a (neck) pickups, along with the Active Tone EXPANDER and BOOSTER circuit boards offer a myriad of tones from crisp-clear-clean to fat-nasty-shred, along with great analog tube tones.  With a great feel and fast action she can be sweet, but have no illusions, this guitar can also melt the ice off the Polar Caps!

Circuitry by "Toto" includes active EXPANDER and 4 STAGE BOOSTER circuit boards.

- The EXPANDER board is a combined equalizer circuit on a Push/Pull pot that has three unique functions in one unit. First is the frequency expander, second is a mid-band peak control and third is a flat booster.
Features include:
-Knob at 0; leads your pickup to sound weightier and rich by boosting the gain in a mid-range and reduce the low and high frequency range
-Knob at 5; leads your pickup to give the harmonics a boost. It is similar to ordinary flat booster.
-Knob at 10; gives your pickup crystal-clear and vivid tone by expanding the frequency range. It has a powerful bass and treble by boosting a high and low frequency range while mid range is 'V' shaped.
Just pull the knob up to bypass EXPANDER.

- The 4 STAGE ACTIVE TONE CIRCUIT BOOSTER is an overdrive circuit which takes this guitar to the next level!  Its classic overdrives have been designed to emulate "historic" (vintage) analog tube tones. Four (4) overdrive types are adjustable via a trim pot - Clean/Blues/Rock/Metal. This active tone circuit is KILLER.  Its 5 position switch (true bypass for no loss of tone + 4 overdrive selections) adds great sound versatility.
