The "Slayer" is a Super Strat with exotic circuitry by Toto allow for a nyriad of tone combinations.
She features a light Alder Body, Hard Northern Maple Neck and Fretboard, Gold tuners w/ pearl turning knobs, Gold Hardware, Gold Tribal Graphics, Pearl pickgaurd, white basecoat under 3 layers of polymer resin with 4 color freehand abstract design artwork along edge and back of the body and headstock.
Bridge Pickup - Dimarzio SDS-1 (adds balls, gain and warmth reminiscent of the best old soapbar pickups. The adjustable pole pieces don't pull as hard as regular rod magnets, so you can get the pickup closer to the strings for stronger output. The highs are less exaggerated and the bottom is deeper than most singles for a rounder, darker tone.)
Middle Pickup - Seymour Duncan SSL-1 (Old vintage style strat pickup, hand-ground Alnico 5 magnets (right hand stagger), and moderate windings yield a bright and punchy tone with vintage output for accurate traditional single-coil tone, especially with clean and mildly distorted amp settings. Waxed cloth hookup cable.
Neck Pickup - Fender USA Hot Alnico 5 (adds extra gain without loosing that clean glasslike Fender tone.
3 independent on/off mini switches (1 for each pickup) giving you full control over the pickup selection/combinations thus increasing the tonal possibilities.
3 push-pull pots - 1 (Volume) allows for phase shifting, 1 (Tone)for parallel/series between the bridge & neck pickup, and 1 (Tone) for selecting between 2 capacitors (.022uf & 047uf) for additional tone vatiations.
Also the guitar weighs in at only 6.5 lbs which is about 30-35% lighter than most other Phil Wayne Custom guitars making it a great stage guitar.
