This guitar was made for a customer who decided to go in a different direction midstream and traded it towards one of our strat models instead. Here's the story below...
This unique Phil Wayne Exclusive Telecaster body was custom made for one of our customers according to his own specifications. He supplied his own guitar neck for us to use and we refinished the headstock to match the body art design. It’s a 22 fret C-shaped contoured neck, has a semi-Strat-like headstock with a graphite nut, and maple with a figured maple fingerboard that is very FAST and comfortable. We had to build up the neck pocket to accomodate his neck properly. We plugged the original screw holes with hardwood dowels and wood glue to make for a solid platform for mounting. The neck fret edges have also been nicely smoothed and dressed (really nice neck!).
Our own 2-piece Solid Southern Ash body weighs 6 pounds. The 3D artwork and marbleized finish is all done by hand, and like our entire line of Exclusive and Custom Series guitars, the design is unique to itself.
The pickups are Lindy Fralin Blues Specials (5% overwound) that sound terrific. The bridge is a Genuine Fender 50's vintage style with 3 chrome compensated saddles. The CTS pots are genuine USA Fender 2009 with the "Grease Bucket" tone control circuit that lets you roll off the highs without the tone getting "muddy". The pickup and controls cavities are copper foil lined and grounded to help eliminate stray 60 Hz noise. The controls plate, neck plate & screws and the knobs are also genuine Fender. The strings he chose are DR 9.5's.

She has a Super 5-way selector switch (instead of the traditional 3-way) to give him more versatility including:
- Bridge alone
- Bridge & neck series (out of phase)
- Bridge & neck parallel
- Bridge & neck series
- Neck alone
