" Purple Haze "
This custom made Purple Haze guitar is from the Mid 70s. The body is encased with multiple layers of glaze which acts to enhance the overall sound and adds additional resonance to the instrument. Other than PW Custom instruments, no other guitars have our special resonance enhancing glaze material on their bodies. She sounds good even unplugged! The marble like 3D custom finish on this axe is absolutely unique and looks incredible (gotta see her in person).
It has a clean Vintage Sounding neck PU, and a Dual Hot-Rail PU at the bridge (13k) that’s great for leads; 1 volume & 2 tone controls, a 5 way PU switch that gives you lots of versatility of sound and has the traditional Stratocaster wiring configuration (the Dual Rail bridge PU is wired through the switch so that, depending on the switch position, can act as a mini Humbucker, or as 2 separate single coils), and the Select Skunk-Striped dressed Maple Neck has great smooth action.
This guitar is no lightweight. Besides being a great playing instrument, she’s a stunning work of art and she is still in near perfect condition (9.5 out of 10). All the hardware and tuners are in great condition as well. Neck is dead straight, action is low, and fretware is almost nonexistant.
